Jackie Logsted is an LA-based author, screenwriter and director. Logsted has published eleven books and sold three screenplays. She sold her first book when she was seven — which she knows sounds insane — and her first screenplay at the age of 22, in her senior year of college.

In 2007, Jackie started co-writing The Sisters 8 children’s series with her mother and father. All nine books were published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and went on to sell over a quarter million copies worldwide. In 2019, she collaborated with her mother again on a romantic comedy novel, Joint Custody, which they sold at auction in a two-book deal to Penguin Random House.

In 2021, Jackie conducted a summer internship with MarVista Entertainment, a film production company owned by Fox Entertainment. She was hired by the company the following spring to write Rush For Your Life, which premiered on Tubi in September 2022. They brought her on to write two more scripts, Deadly Secrets of a Cam Girl and What Happens in Miami.

In addition to writing, Jackie directs music videos and short films. Her primary career ambition is to direct her own original feature-length screenplays, including Dead Girls, from which this short film is inspired.
